AWP Offsite Reading

  • Headhouse Books 619 South 2nd Street Philadelphia, PA, 19147 United States (map)

This reading creates an 'audible browsing' experience by presenting readers who are published authors in a variety of genres. This includes mystery, romance, poetry, memoir, drama, literary and international fiction.

Readers include mystery writer Jack Luellen, poet and historical novelist Terry Tierney, poets Ananda Lima and Keith Kopka, romance writer Pierre G. Porter, memoirist Sophia Kouidou-Giles, surrealist Areg Azatyan, essayist and flash fiction writer Lyzette Wanzer, poet and fiddler Ken Waldman, essayist Par Bolina, ecopoets Lynne Thompson and Jen Karetnick and Lucille Lang Day and poet and art organizer Paul Rabinowitz.

This is an offsite reading during the Association of Writing Programs conference (AWP) and so the readers are conference attendees but the event is free and open to the public and for all ages. Head House Books is a mile southeast of the convention center and on a bus line.

An open mic may be possible if there's time after the readers, we'll play it by ear.
